I grew up listening to all types of music but there’s just something special about Hip-Hop. It’s more than just a genre; it’s a part of who I am. I grew up with the music of Eric B. & Rakim, LL Cool J, Heavy D, Public Enemy, Whodini… the list goes on and on. These artists and their music were everywhere, and they left an indelible mark on my soul.
Speaking of LL Cool J, his tribute to the legendary Marley Marl is absolutely incredible. The energy he brings to his performances of “Jinglin Baby,” “Mr. Good Bar,” “Around the Way Girl,” and “Mama Said Knock You Out” is undeniable. And when Rakim joins him on stage, well… it’s nothing short of amazing. Their performances of classics like “Eric B for President” and “Paid in Full” are the stuff of Hip-Hop legend. All in all, Hip-Hop is a genre that resonates deeply with me, and with so many incredible artists like these, it’s not hard to see why.
